VITS Integrates Production Inkjet Finishing to New Sprint Saddle Stitcher Line

Press release from the issuing company

BLAUVELT, N.Y. - VITS International is once again proving that its capabilities as a high-speed finishing equipment manufacturer is based on solid design platforms using advanced technology to meet the demands of its customer base. The new Sprint Saddle Line collates variable data books, catalogs or direct mail and delivers them directly to an existing saddle stitcher.

The new Sprint Saddle Line is a double web, four-ribbon offline unit that can produce up to 16-page signatures at a time. This improves the manufacturing process and reduces backups at the stitcher line. The system uses the VITS patented multi-web and Clear-Channel registration systems to provide exacting page-to-page and print-to-cut registration.

VITS is the only company providing this type of direct integration and the only manufacturer of variable data finishing systems that are currently integrated directly to both a perfect binder and saddle stitcher. The new Sprint Saddle Line is part of the latest Variable Data Finishing System VITS first introduced in 2012. Printers utilizing a digital or inkjet web press can take the pre-printed roll to finished product in less time, at higher speeds, with more versatility and product options.

VITS Multiple Web Book Finishing; More Throughput

VITS International is having a profound difference in the area of increased productivity, lower cost per book and uptime experienced by its clients using the Sprint mulit-web offline versus a standard single web inline finishing system. Combining webs/ribbons to increase the page count of signatures and utilizing VITS patented multi-web registration system nearly triples the capability of the finishing system. VITS can integrate the Sprint multi-web offline directly to the perfect binder to provide a higher level of productivity.
