To be Honored at Annual Soderstrom Awards Dinner in Chicago on Sept. 12; Soderstrom Society Inductees to be Named Shortly
Alexandria, Va. - Epicomm, the Association for Leaders in Print, Mail, Fulfillment, and Marketing Services, has named Tom Duchene, President, TDMS, Inc., Huntington Beach, Calif., as the 55th Walter E. Soderstrom Award recipient. Duchene will be honored at the annual Soderstrom Awards Dinner on Saturday, September 12th, 2015, the evening before the start of GRAPH EXPO 15. This year’s gala event will be held in downtown Chicago at the beautiful Metropolitan Club Oak Room on the 66th floor of the Willis Tower.
“We are pleased to present this award to Tom Duchene,” says Ken Garner, President and Chief Executive Officer of Epicomm. “Tom’s commitment to our association and our industry is beyond comparison and he is very deserving of the Soderstrom Award, our highest honor for industry service.”
Duchene is the current Chairman of the Epicomm Board of Advisors and previously served as Chairman of the Association of Marketing Service Providers (AMSP) and its predecessor, the Mailing and Fulfillment Service Association (MFSA). He became the first Chairman of AMSP/NAPL/NAQP, created by the merger of AMSP, the National Association for Printing Leadership, and the National Association of Quick Printers in January 2014. The combined association was rebranded as Epicomm one year later.
Duchene attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City and UCLA, and founded TDMS, Inc., a marketing services provider, in 2009. He serves on the Board of the Graphic Arts Show Company (GASC), is a long-time member of the Board of the Catholic Big Brothers Big Sisters, Los Angeles, and is Immediate Past Chair of the Sparkling Angels Charities Board. He was inducted into the Soderstrom Society in 2014.
In addition to honoring the Soderstrom Award recipient, the annual Soderstrom Awards Dinner will induct a number of industry leaders into the Soderstrom Society. The Class of 2015 Soderstrom Society inductees will be named shortly.
“This is the second Soderstrom Dinner under the banner of our merged associations and the first under the Epicomm name,” says Garner, “and I want to take this opportunity to encourage all of our members and their suppliers to participate in this event, acclaimed as the industry’s most elegant evening and the best place for quality networking.
“Reserving a table at the Soderstrom Dinner offers companies the perfect opportunity to bring together their key executives and important customers or prospects in a wonderful setting,” adds Garner. “Tasteful signage on the reserved tables also provides well-deserved recognition of a company’s support of our industry at one of its signature events.”
A reserved table sponsorship for a table of 10 for the evening is offered at $5,500; a half-table of five is available at $3,000. To reserve a table or for more information, contact Marty Maloney of Broadford & Maloney Inc. at (203) 912-0804 or [email protected].
