Oosterhout/Bruchsal - German large commercial printer ADAM NG GmbH, based in Bruchsal, has, after a thorough analysis of the existing solutions in the market for upgrading presses, decided to make investment in the systems IDS-3D and mRC-3D of Q.I. Press Controls. With these solutions, the colour register and control of manroland heatset printing machines can be further optimised. "As one of Europe's leading web offset printers, we are constantly developing both our processes and our technology, to provide our customers continuously with the highest standard of printing available to the market. With Q.I. Press Controls we have found a professional partner who ably assisted us in the technological upgrading of our printing machines," said Susanne Gartelmann, Director of Operations of ADAM NG. 

End of 2014, the ADAM NG GmbH received not only the normal PSO certification, which certifies the print quality according to German ISO standard, but also the Premium PSO certification, developed by the testing company Print Quality. This certification defines the highest requirements in Germany for print products. Crucial for this success was the steady investment in the technological upgrading of machinery. In future, solutions provided by Q.I. Press Controls will contribute to ADAM NG always meeting the highest quality requirements of their customers.

The investment consists of three elements: 2 mRC-3D cameras for colour register, equipped with automatic ink mist shield (AIMS), front-to-back register control and motorized scanner transport, 3 mRC-3D cameras for cut-off register control, equipped with AIMS, and side-lay control and 2 IDS-3D cameras for colour control, equipped with AIMS, fault detection and automatic colour ductor controller. The system will be installed on the manroland LITHOMAN III with 5 printing units and 1 folding unit. "Q.I. Press Controls designed innovative and tailored solutions for us and thus delivers a custom-made product," said Paul Haas, Technical Director of ADAM NG. The cameras were custom modified to take account of ADAM NG’s printing presses specific characteristics and to meet the register technological requirements.
