Press release from the issuing company
BOLINGBROOK, IL – Tobe Direct, one of the nation’s leading direct marketing firms, experienced a year of unprecedented growth in 2014, increasing revenue over 85% due to the addition of 78 new customers and opening up new opportunities within their existing customer base. As a result of their tremendous growth, Tobe Direct recently added some new equipment to their in-house capabilities: the RICOH InfoPrint 4100 Advanced Function Printing System and two new BAUM 20INF in-line folders.
The addition of the RICOH InfoPrint 4100 will increase Tobe Direct’s in-house black and white laser capabilities and allow Tobe to improve production speed with less operator time. The InfoPrint is one of the fastest continuous forms printing presses on the market. Its twin production unit is capable of producing two-sided print at 330 linear feet per minute with 600 dpi image quality. Additionally, the InfoPrint system supports a wide variety of substrates due to its extra-wide 19.5” format, which will be a huge asset to Tobe’s direct mail production.
Accompanying the new InfoPrint line is the addition of two new BAUM 20INF in-line folders. The Baum folder provides continuous, non-stop folding for pre-printed or blank rolls of paper and delivers a host of in-line folding options including, gluing, perforation, score, and slit with two right angle configurations.
“The combination of high speed laser and in-line post finishing enhances Tobe Direct’s production capabilities and service offering for our customers,” said Tony Santonastaso, Tobe Direct’s Vice President of Operations. “We are excited to incorporate these new systems into our current production platform so that we can continue to provide our customers with the highest level of service while utilizing the newest technology.”
