Press release from the issuing company

Will serve two-year team on National Association of Presort Mailers Board of Directors

Durham, N.C. – Ramesh Ratan, CEO of Bell and Howell, has announced that Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Brian Bowers has been elected to the Board of Directors of the National Association of Presort Mailers. Bowers is a recognized expert in the sorting industry and will serve a two-year term on the board.

With over 20 years’ experience in the mailing industry, Bowers has significant knowledge of the various technologies used globally. He has more than 30 years of engineering experience in hardware and software development in five different industries.

Since its formation over 25 years ago, NAPM has evolved from a group that used to be primarily comprised of presort mailers to the NAPM of today — a group that includes both businesses that use mail and all types of suppliers and service providers within the mail industry. According to the organization, “The biggest thing NAPM members have in common is an interest in mail and a desire to be proactive in shaping the environment for using mail in the future.”

NAPM’s Board of Directors consists of ten individuals, nine of whom are elected by the voting membership. The Board has four standing committees – Membership, Annual Conference, Strategic Planning, and Member Education & Information – each chaired by a board member.

“I am very proud to say that in recognition of Brian’s support and service to the presort industry, NAPM has elected him to its Board of Directors,” said Ratan. “He will be a major asset to the organization and provide immeasurable leadership to its Strategic Planning Committee.”
