Press release from the issuing company
The readers of Wide-Format Imaging (WFI) have elected Caldera victorious in two major software categories of the publication's Readers' Choice Top Product Awards. Designed to reward the equipment that has made the most positive impact for wide-format print businesses over the last year, it is confirmed today that Caldera's pioneering V10 package has taken the title in the Prepress: RIP and Prepress: Workflow categories.
Caldera will collect the plaques it receives as a result of the victories at International Sign Expo (ISA), running April 9-11, 2015. It can be considered something of a winning streak for the manufacturer, with this the fourth consecutive victory for its software suite; previous iterations and modules have also been successful in the Prepress category, while its workflow package Flow+ has previously won the Workflow title.
"When we conceived the latest version of the Caldera RIP suite we did so believing that, for many print houses, it's a mission-critical piece of equipment," observes Sebastien Hanssens, vice president marketing and communication, Caldera Inc. "Caldera V10 was designed to enhance a company's production environment and give users full control within a simple operator interface. With all the work that we put into V10, the team is thrilled for that to be recognised by the esteemed readers of Wide-Format Imaging and we look forward to meeting them at ISA."
"Each year, the Wide-Format Imaging Readers' Choice Top Product awards allow our readers and subscribers to show the sign and visual communications industry what products are helping their bottom line and making a difference in their business," says Denise M. Gustavson, editorial director, Wide-Format Imaging. "The winning products truly showcase some of the best products in the market."
Readers are invited to come to stand #938 at ISA to discover more about the latest edition of Caldera's wide-format focused software. V10 doubles previous processing speeds and majors on a slick, cross-platform interface, providing users with a compromise-free RIP. Significantly to its victory in the Workflow category, it also introduces automation and single-click print pathways to speed up the process for time-poor print houses.
