Press release from the issuing company
Taylor Bloxham Group are supporting The King Richard III Appeal by supplying the Order of Service for all three services free of charge. In addition, one of the Group’s press operators, Barrie Johnson will be serving as an Honour Guard for the King at Leicester Cathedral.
Richard III was famously discovered under a Leicester Council car park in 2012 and this week will see celebrations taking place before the interment of the King on 26th March. Taylor Bloxham Group are one of many local businesses that are supporting the Richard III Appeal. They are providing the Order of Service for all three of the services free of charge to Leicester Cathedral.
Taylor Bloxham Group have sourced the paper from paper merchant and manufacturer Fedrigoni who, due to the historic occasion, have agreed to supply the paper at a reduced cost. Both companies’ logos will feature on the Order of Service. The Group are very proud to have this opportunity to provide their services to the Richard III Appeal, even more so as one of their employees will serve as an Honour Guard to the King during the week. Barrie Johnson is an ex member of the Territorial Army and is a current member of the Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC) Association Midlands branch. They are a registered charity that provides support for retired veterans. The charity was approached out of the blue by Leicester Council who were looking for ex-servicemen and women to serve as Honour Guards for Richard III’s lying in state.
April Moss, Taylor Bloxham Group Executive Chairman commented, "I am very proud and honoured that Taylor Bloxham Group are able to support The Richard III Appeal and the interment of the King. This is a truly historic time for Leicestershire and we are excited to be part of it. It is great that local businesses and communities have come together to help Leicester stage this world class event."
