Largest Malaysian web-2-print company e-print invested in High-Speed Cutter from POLAR to optimize their workflow. With the new N 115 PRO the print shop is able to use real image preview of the complete sheet directly in the operator screen. Thus the operator can see the handling of the material with the help of the real sheet.

As a web-2-print company most cutting jobs are combined sheets with several different jobs and sizes on the sheet. It can take up to 20 minutes to create a cutting program for such sheets. Prepress generates a ppf file containing the sheet layout with cutting data as well as a separate preview image of the printed sheet. POLAR Compucut® takes this ppf file together with the preview image and creates the cutting program. This cutting program including the preview image is transferred directly via network to the cutting machine. When the operator is now looking for the next cutting job he can compare the preview image with the real sheet on the machine table. This reduces the risk of errors and almost everybody can operate the cutter. By using Compucut® the make ready time got down to almost zero even for difficult gang jobs.
