A mix of commercial, packaging, and specialty converters and printers learn about new technology and developments in this fast-growing market
As a platinum sponsor and key supporter since its inception eight years ago, KBA North America was pleased with the attendance and quality of both seminars and speakers at the recent Print UV 2015 conference held at the Encore by Wynn Resort in Las Vegas from March 1-3. KBA praised the seminar’s management team that provided this important forum to discuss this fast-growing technology.
KBA representatives were on hand to provide their expertise. Dirk Winkler, director of KBA’s entire development/process technology department and R&D center including the demonstration and training center in Germany and product management, was empaneled on the seminar entitled New UV Technology Impact on Sheetfed Press Manufacturers in which he discussed how sheetfed press manufacturers, including KBA, design development and test methodology and rigorous development procedures to put UV technologies such as HR-UV and LED-UV through an arduous process long before these technologies are ever declared ready-for-delivery.
Chris Travis, KBA North America technology director at the Dallas facility where he supports the global sales team, product management, sales operations, field and factory demonstrations and oversees the KBA Customer Care Center, sat on a micro coating panel. He provided industry insight into new grit coatings applications and discussed how printers can use it and improve it in their pressrooms.
Catering to commercial, packaging, and specialty converters and printers, Print UV is the first industry event focused exclusively on the UV printing market. A full agenda of exciting topics and knowledgeable speakers was assembled to encourage, promote, and sustain the growth of UV printing while also providing unparalleled networking opportunities with leading UV industry suppliers and some of the most elite printers in North America. Conference sessions touched upon new ideas and growth opportunities in the UV market, discover new UV core processes, and presented case studies from successful UV print initiatives from around the world.
