SGIA Announces 2015 Sustainability Recognition Program Honorees

Press release from the issuing company

Companies are rewarded for committing to a sustainable business ethic

Fairfax, Virginia - SGIA is proud to announce the recipients of the 2015 Sustainability Recognition Program Award. The program was designed to encourage SGIA member companies to create and adopt sustainable business practices and to set an example for other companies to follow.

“Companies all over the world and throughout every industry are adopting sustainable strategies and processes, and SGIA wants to recognize their achievements,” said Marci Kinter, SGIA’s Vice President of Government and Business Information.

In order to receive the award, companies were required to submit a copy of their sustainability policy and a description of their continuous improvement project during the past year. The policy, however, is only the first step in developing a sustainability management system (SMS). Companies are now tasked to think about how to put policy commitments into action over the next several years.
