Both EFI Designer Edition and EFI Photo Edition feature a new cross Mac OS X and Windows operating platform for greater flexibility in a variety of proofing environments, plus support for HP's CMYKplus standard for more robust color management. Both products are compatible with JDF v1.2, the open standard for electronic job ticketing, allowing seamless integration into any JDF-supported workflow. Superior color management capabilities allow photographers to input RGB camera data, automatically convert it to CMYK, export as a CMYK-TIFF file and output the data in proof form. Users preferring the RGB workflow have the advantage of utilizing the complete color space of the printer to output bright, vivid photos.
