World's first installed ROLAND 700 Evolution commended by leading Austrian print house

A trend-setter is never afraid to try something new especially when winning new customers. Samson Druck GmbH a prestigious print house in Austria was the first printer to install a ROLAND 700 Evolution press in October last year. In fact, the press has been performing so well, the company has just ordered its second ten-color Evolution press for installation later this year.

Samson Druck GmbH is a leader in the sheetfed offset printing market in Austria. Founded in 1978, it has expanded over the years and today provides a broad range of services including consulting, pre-press, printing, processing, finishing, binding and direct mailing services with worldwide distribution. Samson Druck GmbH and Manroland Sheetfed have enjoyed a strong partnership for more than two decades. Currently, four Manroland Sheetfed presses - including the world’s very first Evolution - are fully operational at Samson Druck GmbH's production facility. With more than a combined total of 30 printing units, they are responsible for printing over 5,000 tonnes of paper in Samson’s 6,000m2 modern production facility.

The preciseness and reliability of the new press with its new functional features were all factors which drove Aichhorn and his team to invest in a second Evolution press. “The machine with its new console and touchscreen is user-friendly and Inline color measuring and control ensures consistent quality” he said.

Samson Druck GmbH recently received a number of significant awards, including the state prize for the most beautiful book in Austria and GoldenPixel Award in the "business report" category in 2014.
