ATLANTA, Ga. – TAPPI is pleased to announce Dr. Doug Bousfield as the recipient of the 2015 Coating and Graphic Arts Division and MWV Outstanding Educator Award. Dr. Bousfield is being recognized for his excellence in academia as well as his passion for the mentoring of others, which created interest and enthusiasm among new and current members of the industry.

“It is a high honor to know that TAPPI is concerned with education and even graduate student education,” said Dr. Bousfield. “I have worked hard for years trying to give graduate students a chance to attend TAPPI conferences.”

Dr. Bousfield graduated from Montana State University with a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering and received his MS in Chemical Engineering from Oregon State University before obtaining his PhD from UC Berkeley. He began his career as an Assistant Professor at the University of Main, where he is currently a full professor.

TAPPI congratulates Dr. Bousfield and will honor him at the PaperCon Awards Dinner on April 21 in Atlanta.
