Launches new luxury metallic papers for digital toner/laser, HP Indigo and offset presses - issues new swatchbook and print demonstration 

SUN PRAIRIE, Wisconsin - CTI Paper USA continues to bring fresh innovation to North American marketers, designers, printers and paper distributors with the March 2015 launch of a major new swatchbook, print demonstration and striking new metallic printing papers, Aspire Petallics Pure Gold and Pure Silver.

The new CTI Paper USA swatchbook showcases and updates all FSC-certified text and cover brands in metallic and pearlescent papers, translucents, printable kraft, soft flat matte and C1S metallic papers.  The spotlighted brands are Aspire Petallics®, Glama Natural®, Glama Kraft®, Tube® and Currency®.

Privately held CTI Paper USA is one of North America’s largest suppliers of premium digital and offset printing papers, envelopes and packaging papers.  Sustainably produced, environmentally responsible and demonstrating high craftsmanship, style and elegance, the company’s papers are used in a broad range of commercial and social applications.

Over the past several years, CTI has expanded investment in product development to bring new options in digital printing to marketers, designers, printers and merchants.  “We’re very focused on adding new premium papers for dry toner-based printers and presses, HP Indigo presses and offset equipment,” said John Kelly, president and co-owner.  

In December 2014, CTI launched new items and a new swatchbook/print demo for Kromekote®, the world’s best-known super-premium cast-coated brand.  Spotlighted were new reflective holographic foil papers, including new papers for toner/laser and HP Indigo equipment.

With its newest swatchbook and print demo issued this month, CTI again captures the powerful draw of state-of-the-art papers and printing together with the timeless elegance of embossing and foil-stamping techniques. An Aspire Petallics Pure Silver 105-pound cover is showcased.

Ultra-luxe “Pure Gold” and “Pure Silver” papers added to Aspire Petallics line; papers look and feel like they’re crafted from precious metals

CTI’s Aspire Petallics text and cover brand of multi-colored metallic and pearlescent papers now offers Pure Gold and Pure Silver papers in a variety of weights and sizes, plus matching envelopes.

Sheets are available in 81-pound text and 105-pound cover options for dry toner and offset equipment, laser and inkjet printers, and in 105-pound cover for HP Indigo presses. 

Both Pure Gold and Pure Silver incorporate the naturally occurring mineral mica to create the refractive, shimmering look of real precious metals.

The luxurious metallic surface provides added dimension to the sheet, allowing the gold and silver to simultaneously become part of the design—and extend it.  Messaging is delivered on a tactile, high-impact and inviting substrate.

Aspire Petallics®.  Metallic and Pearlescent Papers. Aspire Petallics delivers one of the most comprehensive offerings of metallic and pearlescent papers in North America.  The new swatchbook shows the full line of options across all colors, weights and sizes, including matching envelopes.

The continued expansion of the Aspire Petallics line enables designers and printers to be unrestricted in how they think about metallic papers in terms of output, whether digital dry-toner, laser, inkjet, HP Indigo or offset production.

In addition to the new Pure Gold and Pure Silver papers, Aspire Petallics is available in a wide variety of colors such as Champagne, Ice, Gold Ore, Sky Pilot, Blue Star, Juniper Berry, Black Ore, Silver Ore, Copper Ore, Snow Willow, Beargrass, Autumn Hay and Pearl. 

Glama Natural®. Translucent Papers. The company’s Glama Natural brand of translucent papers is the most comprehensive offering available today.  White, extra white, clear and rough, plus a large spectrum of colors and the industry’s only recycled 30% PCW option are all available in a full complement of weights, sizes, matching envelopes and rolls for converting.

The line also features a certified sheet for HP Indigo printing, as well as a product called Glama Press for use in cold-set web printing by newsprint publishers in North America and worldwide. 

In addition to their widespread use as flysheets, translucents have many other applications including announcements and envelopes, report covers, belly bands, business cards and greeting cards. 

Glama Kraft®. Printable Kraft Papers. Glama Kraft is the result of an important technology breakthrough by CTI Paper USA that enables high-speed, multicolor offset printing of real kraft papers. A value-priced, FSC-certified premium paper, Glama Kraft features a proprietary treatment that enables heat-set web printing and makes it suitable for laser/toner printing.

Glama Kraft delivers aesthetic and tactile appeal with unique messaging value.  The paper contains 90% PCW fibers and 100% recycled content.  It comes in a variety of weights and sizes, including a double-thick cover for specialty applications such as premium retail, clothing tags, beverage jackets and envelopes.  Color combinations of browns and greys are available.

Currency® C1S Metallic Papers.  This coated-one side metallic paper in gold and silver—featuring foil and non-foil options—is available in 10-point cover in cutsheet and folio sizes and 65-pound label options.

Tube® Soft Flat Matte Papers.  This C1S and C2S sheet is available in neutral and dark, rich colors in a variety of sizes and weights, with matching envelopes.  A proprietary anti-blocking treatment ensures ease of feeding on press, quick dry times and fingerprint resistance.

CTI’s environmental credentialing is among the industry’s strongest

The vast majority CTI Paper USA products are Forest Stewardship Council certified.  Two branded paper lines, Aspire Petallics and Currency, are manufactured 100% carbon neutral.

Select Aspire Petallics and Glama Natural items feature 30% PCW.  All Glama Kraft items contain 90% PCW and are 100% recycled.  Four brands—Aspire Petallics, Glama Natural, Currency and Tube—are produced elemental chlorine free.  Nearly all brands are acid and lignin free.  All papers with the exception of Currency Foils are recyclable. 

CTI Paper USA products are suitable for all offset presses, HP Indigo presses and toner-based equipment from Xerox, Kodak, Canon, Epson, Konica-Minolta, Oce and Ricoh, among others.
