Community of Canon Solutions America Customers Sets Date for First Annual thINK Conference

Press release from the issuing company

This inaugural event will bring together leaders in digital and inkjet printing

MELVILLE, N.Y. - Canon Solutions America, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc., today announced the formation of a community of Canon Solutions America Production Print customers. Called thINK, the group will hold its first conference September 8-10, 2015 in New York, NY at Canon Expo.

The user group is a natural outgrowth of the advisory groups Canon Solutions America has sponsored over the past few years. Participants felt the time was right to develop a larger forum where more Canon Solutions America customers could network, gain knowledge, stay abreast of technological advancements, and discuss common challenges.

“Our customers were the driving force for this user group, and it is being led by some of the most successful inkjet service providers in the country,” said Eric Hawkinson, director of Marketing, Production Print Solutions division of Canon Solutions America. “As the leader in both continuous feed and cutsheet inkjet, we are proud to support our customers in this effort. We believe this user group will provide long-lasting benefits to the entire print industry.”

Spreading Success

Ten Canon Solutions America customers representing print leaders across market segments comprise the steering committee, which began meeting in April of 2014 to shape the group’s direction, goals, and educational objectives. Its focus is on innovation, best practices, and delivering team-encompassing, world-class education that will engage business owners, sales teams, production teams, and graphic designers.

“It’s an honor to be part of this process,” said Mark DeBoer, director of Customer Experience at Darwill, Inc., and a member of the steering committee. “The inkjet innovations coming out of Canon Solutions America have allowed Darwill to take on new applications, tackle more complex projects, and transform our business. This user group will allow us and other print providers to share our stories, knowledge, and experiences that will help all of us be more successful.”

Innovations on Hand

The 2015 thINK Conference is expected to attract more than 300 of the leading inkjet service providers. Educational opportunities will include three tracks for technical, business leadership, and sales and marketing. Industry experts and customer panels will provide insights on topics ranging from market trends to practical application of technology and solutions. Canon Solutions America executives will also be there to talk with customers and gain feedback they will use to drive new product development and solutions that solve market and customer challenges.

“We believe the future opportunities for print providers are in inkjet,” said Francis A. McMahon, vice president, Marketing, Production Print Solutions division of Canon Solutions America. “This user group and conference will provide business owners and their teams with the knowledge and insights they need to turn our solutions into their next competitive advantage.”
