Westmont, Illinois — Chris Howes has been appointed Assistant Vice President of Sales Support, Sheetfed Operations, at MAN Roland Inc. A 23-year MAN Roland veteran, Howes previously served as the company’s Director of Sales Administration. “Chris will take over the day-to-day interactions with the sales support team in Offenbach, working to improve our cooperation with our partners in Germany and discussing such important topics as pricing, configurations, and delivery times,” said Eric Belcher, COO of Sheetfed Operations. “He will also be the primary central contact for the regions and our sales team with respect to investment proposals, machinery contracts, and used presses.” The holder of an MBA in Finance and Information Systems, Howes got his start in the graphic arts by working as a press helper and a binderyman for a printer during high school. He also worked in the newspaper pressroom while completing college. He started at MAN Roland in November 1980 in the company’s Credit and Collections Department. He next moved to Sales Administration, and then to Sales and Contract Administration. Howes also worked in Marketing for several years, and was Used Equipment Manager for two years before rejoining MAN Roland Inc.’s Sales Administration effort.
