Creative Communication News Network Blokboek.com Goes Global

Press release from the issuing company

Graphic expertise from the Netherlands now available in English

Katwijk, The Netherlands - The Dutch internet publication Creative Communication News Network – Blokboek.com has been quite successful from its inception by delivering industry news to a mostly Dutch audience of communication professionals. Upon request of industry peers, the makers have now decided to make the content available in English. This will allow the publishing site to also serve an international audience.

The e-zine was founded in 2012 by a collective of Dutch journalists. Their combined and diversified expertise allowed them to closely examine and report on the Graphic Industry from varied perspectives, taking the publishing of trade news online and on social media to a whole new level.

Local yet global

The graphic industry is changing rapidly and the makers of Blokboek.com are convinced that the publishing industry has to follow. The Netherlands has a sturdy position in the graphic industry, with an extensive literary and printing heritage. The publishers received a lot of industry recognition for combining this wisdom of ages with the ongoing technological innovations and infusing it with their industry expertise analysis, but felt limited by only providing this content in Dutch. In order to be able to spread the news more widely and reach a larger audience, they have therefore invested in translating the content in English.

Accessible and reliable content at all times

“In our book the printing industry is a part of the communication industry and we consider a printer as a producer of communication products”, thus Marco den Engelsman, co-founder of Blokboek.com, explains the general scope. “We explain the news within the right background setting and deliver it in an objective phrasing to our readers. All the while making sure that all content is displayed in a manner for optimal viewing and reading pleasure. Professionals that work in the communication industry are no different than any other reader. They want to access and process the news both digitally on their smartphone, tablet or desktop, and in print at shows and presentations. Our team is committed to ensure that the quality of the content stays consistent at all times, no matter which carrier.”

The English version of the site has gone live Monday December 1st 2014 and is accessible via http://blokboek.com/

The Creative Communication News Network – Blokboek.com aspires to inspire professionals in sourcing new opportunities in the fast changing communication industry.

The graphic collective makers of Blokboek.com include Arthur Lubbers, Jolanda van Drie, Rob van den Braak and Marco den Engelsman.
