Print Industry Leaders to Keynote EFI Connect Users Conference in Las Vegas

FOSTER CITY, Calif. – April 28, 2004 –EFI, the world leader in digital imaging and print management solutions for commercial and enterprise printing, today announced a line-up of industry leaders as speakers at the fifth annual Connect users’ conference, taking place June 27-30th at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. One of the largest user conferences in the printing industry, the four-day event will provide EFI customers with the opportunity to discuss industry trends, test drive the latest software updates, exchange ideas, and attend a broad range of educational and keynote sessions. Andrew D. Paparozzi, chief economist of NAPL (National Association of Print Leadership)will deliver the opening keynote on Sunday, June 27th. Entitled “Success Factors of the Profit Leaders,” Paparozzi will address how printers should prepare to compete for future growth, discussing the impact of digitization and the Internet on the industry and providing examples of best practices. Rab Govil, president of PODi, the Digital Printing initiative, will speak Tuesday, June 29th on best practices to help printers serve their customers more profitably. Govil will outline how the digital printing revolution is creating unprecedented opportunities for all industry players, and draw from four years of PODi Best Practices research to discuss what customers are clamoring for now and how printers can serve them profitably. The conference will close with an address on Wednesday, June 30th by General Gus Pagonis, a retired three-star U.S. Army General and the current Executive Vice President of Logistics for Sears. General Pagonis will share some of his expertise in logistics and leadership, providing a unique perspective on handling challenges under pressure.
