Press release from the issuing company
Scodix, the leading provider of digital enhancement solutions for the graphic arts industry, today announced they have sold a Scodix Ultra press to Presentation Folder, Inc. (PFI) of Orange, California. The purchase agreement was completed on the first day of the Graph Expo 14 trade show, which runs through Wednesday, October 1st.
“At PFI, we service a very wide variety of presentation needs,” notes Joel Tardie, PFI President. “From designers, resellers, print brokers, and small quick printers to large franchises such as American Solutions for Business, Proforma, Geiger, Minuteman Press, and Sir Speedy, our clients' demands run the full gamut of complexity, creativity, and run length. Yet they all demand the highest quality, professional and fast service, and competitive pricing. The Scodix system dovetails perfectly with our business model.
“Known for offering a wide variety of premium-quality imprint and finishing options, we pride ourselves on providing our customers with both traditional, time-tested print techniques as well as cutting-edge technology, like the Scodix press will offer. We first saw Scodix system at Drupa 2012, and began doing our homework. The Scodix system offers us superior quality, incomparable reliability and unrivaled registration. Scodix also gives us capabilities beyond what any other folder manufacturers can offer, and that's just in the presentation folder world. This new system will open us up to brand new high-end market. And, I believe we’ll be the first shop in the west to offer these unique services, and that alone is immediate differentiation.
“We're discussing how we’re going to market it to our customer base. It’s really something that customers need to see and feel in person to truly appreciate. The 3D UV effect evolves each project to a whole new stratosphere of impact potential. And the company is always introducing tools that make their system even more valuable to their users. For PFI, purchasing the Scodix Ultra positions us to be on the forefront of new technology and emerging markets.”
