MELVILLE, N.Y. - Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, today announced the new imagePRESS C800 Digital Color Press Series, which combines new and proven technology to help deliver the level of print quality, productivity and flexibility expected of the imagePRESS line, in a compact, scalable footprint. Comprised of the imagePRESS C800 and imagePRESS C700, this series is designed for small-to-medium commercial, franchise, in-plant and quick printers, and is equipped to handle a variety of media options, including heavyweight coated stock, textured stock and envelopes.

The imagePRESS C800 Series incorporates technologies from Canon's flagship imagePRESS C7011VP/S Digital Color Press Series, including:

An array of new features including red laser R-VCSEL technology enables the imagePRESS C800 Digital Press Series to produce outstanding-quality output at up to 2,400 x 2,400 dpi resolution. The systems' new CV Toner and other innovative technologies allow users to enjoy color consistency for predictable quality output - crucial for repetitive jobs in print production.
The imagePRESS C800 Digital Press Series offers outstanding production speeds at up to 80 pages-per-minute (ppm) for the imagePRESS C800 and up to 70 ppm for the imagePRESS C700. In addition, this series can auto-duplex jobs on all supported media weights, reducing the need of manual intervention even during demanding jobs.

The imagePRESS C800/C700 digital color presses are available in diverse, scalable configurations that enable a white-paper-in, finished-paper-out operation.
