Industry Experts in Precision Printing Take On Key Business Development Roles
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Durst U.S. has added two imaging specialists in label and related precision printing – Emily Kroll and Richard Thomas – to help introduce its digital imaging solutions to an expanding label & specialty printing industry that wants to modernize for greater efficiency and versatility, the company announced today.
Kroll, most recently a Senior Account Executive with Colordyne Industries, and Thomas, most recently in charge of HP’s Indigo sales team in Canada, have been named New Business Development Managers for the company’s Labels & Specialty Packaging Systems group. Both have responsibility for Durst’s innovative line of Tau UV Inkjet Digital Label Presses, including the Tau LFS 330 (Laser Finishing System), a complete and highly versatile workflow solution.
“We’re extremely pleased to welcome Emily and Richard to the Durst team,” said Christopher Howard, Vice President of Durst U.S.’s Industrial Segment Business. “We think professionals in Labels & Specialty Packaging who are considering digital printing will discover fairly quickly how Emily’s and Richard’s thorough knowledge of today’s digital printing technologies and their supportive, consultative approach can help any labels & specialty packaging business make an enlightened choice that can aid their operational efficiency and overall success.”
Kroll – an expert in various print technologies, from thermal transfer and direct thermal to flexography and digital printing – was involved in sales, business development and marketing of Colordyne’s digital press solutions for label converters and brand owners. Previously she was an OEM Account Manager for Memjet, responsible for signing new OEM partners, gaining new markets and commercializing the technology.
Thomas joined Indigo in 1997 just prior to the launch of the E-Print 1000 & E-Print Pro. While there he held sales and management positions supporting digital printing press sales. After HP’s acquisition of Indigo, Thomas held key account manager and strategic account manager positions in its Commercial Division.
