Dscoop9 Conference Guide Receives Awards in the Annual Gold Ink Awards Competition

Press release from the issuing company

Digital Solutions Cooperative (Dscoop) took home gold and bronze for its Dscoop9 conference guide in the annual Gold Ink Awards, presented by Printing Impressions magazine. The conference guide received a gold award in the Digital Printing – Variable Data and Personalization category and a bronze award in the Magazines – Event Programs category.

The conference guide, designed by Cipher Creative Group, a design and marketing communications firm located in Berlin, Conn., was distributed to more than 2,000 attendees at the Dscoop9 Conference in March 2014. The guide served as a resource for conference-goers, providing comprehensive event, exhibitor and education information. It featured variable data on the cover, as well as a tear-out including each attendee’s first and last names, a personalized agenda based on individual interests and favorite colors.

The guide was printed on the HP Indigo 7600 and 10000 Digital Presses by Atlanta-based Bennett Graphics, a Dscoop member. Digital substrate provider GPA donated the stock for the 74-page program.

“We are honored Printing Impressions recognized a Dscoop piece in the Gold Ink Awards competition once again,” said Mike Fogarty, Dscoop global executive director. “On a daily basis, Dscoop members produce quality work for their clients, and we as an organization have to live up to this standard by following suit in showcasing the unique capabilities and superior advantages of HP digital printing.”

“It’s an honor to be recognized for the creativity, work and collaboration necessary to create an award-winning Dscoop conference program,” said David Bennett, Bennett Graphics president. “It’s a great opportunity to print such a unique piece to showcase to fellow Dscoop members and HP Graphic Arts Users.”

This year’s Gold Ink Award winners were chosen from more than 1,000 entries submitted within 46 categories. Winning pieces were chosen based on print quality, technical difficulty and overall visual effect.
