Press release from the issuing company

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Brent Moncrief has joined Durst U.S., the North American subsidiary of Durst Phototechnik AG, as its new Vice President of Sales & Marketing, the company announced today.

Moncrief, whose 30-year career includes creative and marketing positions with Schank Inc., Mundocom/Publicis and Eastman Kodak Co., succeeds Chris Howard, who has been promoted to Vice President for Business Development, responsible for advancing Durst solutions in new and growing imaging segments in the region.

“The American market is a success story for us, not least thanks to Chris Howard's excellent work,” said Christoph Gamper, CEO Durst Phototechnik AG.  “From now on, Chris will participate in the strategic development of all Durst segments, and will open new opportunities for us in the U.S. market.  With Brent Moncrief, he has a top manager at his side, who has worked for some of the big brands during his long career and who feels at home in the creative world as well as in technical production.”

Moncrief joins Durst’s management team as a distinguished brand communication expert.  He began his career in 1984 at Kodak. During his 15 years there, he worked in two imaging divisions, focusing on design and production for commercial customers.  In 1999, Moncrief became General Manager of Seven Worldwide (now Schawk Inc.), a global package design and prepress company.  In 2001, he was appointed Chief Marketing Officer and CEO-designate for Capps Digital (now Mundocom/Publicis), and developed the company into an exclusive Creative Services provider for Leo Burnett (today affiliated with the Publicis Group), one of the largest advertising agencies in the U.S.  Moncrief later started his own marketing consultancy, and most recently served as Vice President of Strategic Growth for Madden Communications, a U.S. market leader for retail promotions.

Moncrief holds an MBA from Northwestern University/Kellogg School of Management.  He and his family live in the Chicago area.
