River Falls, WI – NELA closed a significant amount of orders in Latin America in the first half of 2014 and announces the participation at the Expoprint 2014 show in Brazil
NELA has closed multiple orders in Latin America during the first half of the year and is expected to complete several installations this quarter. “Customers value NELA’s commitment to the market which is shown in NELA’s emphasis on having a dedicated Latin America Sales team. We are looking forward to our participation at Expoprint 2014 where we will demonstrate our equipment and promote the service and spare parts of the K&F product line that we acquired a few months ago from Glunz and Jensen”; says Jorge Suárez, Director of Sales and Marketing.
NELA has a proven track record of catering to customer’s needs by leveraging the knowledge and expertise acquired in the field. First-quarter 2014 projects included:
In Venezuela, Grabados Nacionales purchased a new offline multiformat HVCP plate punch bender that centralizes the process for their Lithoman, Baker Perkins and Man Roland presses. Beside the improvement in the accuracy of the punch bending process, this machine reduces the costs incurred by having multiple pieces of equipment for the different formats.
In Argentina, La Nacion purchased a new VCP plate punch bender line. This will make their plate room completely composed of 3 top of the line NELA machines. Diario Popular have also purchased an inline VCP punch bender with a sortation system. In this project the printing plate gets transported directly outside of the pre-press area and into the press room, and sorted into one of the 6 different bins.
In Brazil, Grupo RBS purchased a new VCP punch bending system to complement the existing NELA lines they have at Zero Hora in Porto Alegre. They also bought a Remote Ink Control System for their Goss Urbanite press at Diario Catarinense in Florianopolis. This system will dramatically reduce ink consumption, and make it much easier to operate the press from the new press console.
