Enovation: Warter To Speak at 2004 Print Oasis Print Buyers Conference

Press release from the issuing company

VALHALLA, N.Y., April 2004 – Communicating effectively is always the goal in the graphic arts industry, whether its creating a piece that will communicate the desired message or just the communication that takes place between printers and designers. Larry Warter, director of new business development for Enovation Graphic Systems, Inc. and a recognized expert on standards, will address the new standards facing the graphic arts during the 2004 Print Oasis Print Buyers Conference & Expo on April 18 – 21 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. An understanding of these standards will help print buyers communicate with and evaluate their print suppliers more effectively. Warter will introduce the new standard characterization for commercial printing and will describe how this characterization promotes better overall results and a more accurate proof-to-press match. Warter will deliver his seminar, “Getting Print Predictability,” on Wednesday, April 21st at 10:45 a.m. during this year’s Print Oasis. Warter will also discuss process requirements and the benefits that designers, prepress shops and printers can expect when adhering to industry standards within a color-managed workflow. This seminar includes basic descriptions of workflow options for input, proofing and output, color management of images throughout the workflow, and required process and infrastructure changes needed to automate the workflow. Relevant standards, specifications and process control procedures such as PDFX, ICC, SWOP, CIP4/XML, ISO 9000 and associated product standards will be put into perspective. Warter’s seminar will also feature John Sweeney, vice president of sales and marketing for Integrated Color Solutions (ICS), who will address standards and how they relate to the newest industry trends: remote and soft proofing. Warter is a leading member of several industry organizations dedicated to standards, including SWOP, GRACoL, SNAP, CIP4, ISO and ICC. During the conference, Enovation will be showcasing its remote proofing solution, which combines ICS’s Remote Director and any number of proofing devices, including Fujifilm’s PictroProof II digital contone proofer. Enovation’s print media specialists will be on hand to demonstrate this new, SWOP-certified solution and to answer questions on how this solution can be easily integrated into any existing workflow.
