Xplor Canada Adds Ryerson Intern To Support Membership Initiatives

Press release from the issuing company

Toronto, ON, Canada - Xplor® Canada, an affiliate of Xplor® International, today announced the addition of intern Kyle Tavares to assist the development and support of the newly formed Xplor student chapter initiatives.

Kyle will spend the summer working with Xplor Canada, Xplor Ryerson Chapter and Xplor International helping to develop new ideas aimed at expanding student member offerings. Specific programming will be designed to help students get practical knowledge during their course of studies and provide assistance in their transition to the work force. Much of Kyle’s efforts will contribute to the North American student chapter roll out later this year.

"I am very eager to work with many Xplor members and help out where I can," said Tavares.  "The Xplor Canada Association Region Board currently has me working on multiple projects to help Xplor with membership acquisition and retention as well as helping to put together toolkits where other universities can begin their own Xplor student chapters."

Mr. Tavares will be reporting to Paul Abdool (Xplor Canada, Treasurer and Xplor International Association, Director).  Tavares is currently studying Graphic Communications Management at Ryerson University.  He is the Events Director for Xplor’s student chapter at Ryerson.  He will be going into his final year at Ryerson this fall.

"It is very exciting to have Kyle's support as we develop some of our new programs for students and some of our Canadian events," said Abdool.  "His enthusiasm and his fresh look at what we do is just what we need now to make our programs stronger for our student members and traditional membership."
