Press release from the issuing company

Charlottesville, VA and London, U.K.INTERQUEST, a leading market and technology research and consulting firm serving the digital printing and publishing industry, today announced that the 2014 London Digital Printing Forum will be heldTuesday, June 24, 2014 at the Royal Society, Carlton Terrace, in London. Held each year in London since 2010, the full-day educational forum will focus on key trends in the book market, the evolution of book manufacturing and the supply chain, and the use of digital printing to produce books.

According to Gilles Biscos, President of INTERQUEST, "London has always been a location for this event and we're enthusiastic to be returning. This year the program will focus on three areas: innovation and creativity from a technological and application perspective; opportunities at a business and process level; and success stories and testimonials from around the world."

The morning portion of the program will include a keynote address, followed by a presentation of key findings from recent INTERQUEST research in the book market. A panel of printers and publishers will then share their thoughts and experiences in efforts to streamline the printed book supply chain. The morning session will conclude with a panel of executives from leading digital printing systems suppliers who will share recent technology and application developments at their companies.

Following lunch, attendees will hear additional INTERQUEST research findings, followed by presentations focused on trends in the use of on-demand and short-run book production. Suppliers and developers will then discuss trends, developments, and issues in the areas of substrates, finishing, and inks. The program will continue with printer and publisher panels addressing the use of colour in digital book printing, as well as new and emerging opportunities and applications. The day will conclude with a round table of printers and publishers sharing their perspectives on the future of book manufacturing.

The 2014 London Digital Book Printing Forum is sponsored by leading players in the market, including Canon, Hunkeler, Intelligent Finishing Systems, Kodak, Ricoh, Rotolito Lombarda, Tecnau, Timsons, and Xerox. It is supported by the Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP), The Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA), the Independent Publisher Guild (IPG), the International Association of Scientific, Technical and Medical Publishers (STM), and the British Association for Print and Communications (BAPC).
