Hudson, NH – April 15, 2004 – Presstek, a leading developer of digital laser imaging and chemistry-free plate technologies for the printing and graphic arts industries, kicked off its co-sponsored free seminar series for printers and print buyers, "Media Choices in a Digital World," to an enthusiastic crowd in New York City this week.

April 20 - Washington, D.C.
April 29 - Atlanta
June 10 - Los Angeles
June 15 - Chicago
June 22 - Dallas
"Media Choices in a Digital World" is designed to demonstrate to printers and print buyers ways to capitalize on breakthrough marketing communications and creative service programs; new digital printing and publishing services; as well as new and better strategies for communicating with partners and customers. Each date has both morning (9 a.m. – 11 a.m.) and afternoon (3 p.m. – 5 p.m.) sessions. The morning session is geared more towards printers, while the afternoons are geared toward print buyers. Each session, however, provides substantial, fundamental counsel for both audiences.
In New York City this week, printing industry expert Barbara Pellow focused on "Innovative Communications…for the Short Run." Pellow, the Gannett chair in integrated publishing sciences in Rochester Institute of Technology’s School of Printing Management and Sciences, provided real-world examples of new strategies in business communications that have achieved measurable, documented business results through the use of customized, versioned multi-channel communications strategies.
In addition, illustrator and marketing professional Donna Berger shared her expertise and perspective as a buyer of printing services, both for her business and her clients. Berger focused on how she has successfully applied the latest in digital offset technologies to craft high-impact short-run marketing materials to meet her exacting requirements for quality, speed and flexibility and demonstrated how her blended sales and marketing strategy combines the ease of electronic communications with the power of printed materials in a comprehensive, multi-channel approach that delivers measurable results.
Presstek’s Director of On-Press Consumables Scott Mitchell said, "In today’s highly competitive market it is vitally important that printers and print buyers educate themselves on the rapidly changing characteristics of business communications in the new digital world. Presstek and Graphic Design: USA are pleased to offer ‘Media Choices in a Digital World’ free seminars to those printers and print buyers who want to leverage the new strategies, programs and services available today that can help them improve their business."
