Press release from the issuing company

New Show Feature to Demonstrate the Convergence of Print and Plastic Applications in the Graphic Communications Industry

Reston, VA - Graphic communications has come a long way since simple ink on paper and GRAPH EXPO 14, coming September 28 - October 1 with co-located CPP EXPO to Chicago's McCormick Place, will demonstrate to attendees just how far the industry has progressed at the groundbreaking new PLASTIC Print Pavilion. This pioneering new show feature will serve as a hub that bridges print with industrial manufacturing.

PLASTIC Print is the culmination of a collaboration of three innovative industry organizations: The Society of the Plastics Industry (SPI)-producers of the National Plastics Exposition (NPE), the Graphic Arts Show Company (GASC), and CPP EXPO. For the first time anywhere, show goers will discover how the exciting "new" worlds of package printing, commercial printing and industrial manufacturing have converged to create a host of new service and profit-boosting opportunities.

"Plastics are a vital and an integral part of everyone's world, from ATM and credit cards to RFID cards, flash drives, ID badges, plastic packaging, plastic labels, ad specialties and promotional items," says GASC President Ralph Nappi. "The PLASTIC Print pavilion will showcase these and many, many other applications including 3D printing."

"We are excited to partner with GRAPH EXPO 14 on the launch of the PLASTIC Print Pavilion," says Gene Sanders, Vice President of the National Plastics Exposition. "It is amazing the diverse plastic applications that we see, touch, and use every day-everything from printed packaging and labels to the many key tags on our key chains to the enormous 3D printed applications with plastic polymers. PLASTIC Print will help GRAPH EXPO 14 attendees discover trending revenue applications to increase unique offerings along with added revenues and profits."

Unprecedented in the Graphic Communication Industry, PLASTIC Print will offer live demonstrations of 3D printing that will capture buyer-attendees' imagination with profitable 3D printer options and the vast array of profit-building applications they can sell now. PLASTIC Print exhibitors will share their expertise and guidance, one-on-one, with current customers and "visionary" new prospects seeking to invest in the future.
