Press release from the issuing company
Worcester, UK - Stanford Marsh Group Graphics (SMGG), the commercial graphics division of Stanford Marsh Group, has been growing apace of late. Widely regarded as a leading independent solutions provider for the wide-format print sector, SMGG offers solutions from Canon, Epson, HP, Mimaki, Mutoh and Océ amongst others, alongside the associated consumables and finishing devices.
Following the company’s appointment to Mimaki’s authorised reseller network in November 2013, SMGG expanded its flagship showroom in Bristol. The company, which employs around 100 staff, has its headquarters in Worcester and also has offices in Derbyshire, South Wales and Scotland.
With a Group turnover of circa £13.5 million during the last trading year - £7 million of which was from wide-format equipment and consumable sales - Stanford Marsh aims to double its turnover within the graphics/signage sector this financial year and increase SMGG’s share of what remains an exciting growth market.
Interest in the company’s graphics offerings has spiked considerably of late. However, this in itself has caused additional challenges. Adrian Painter, Director at SMGG, explains, “Whilst the level of interest in SMGG and its offerings is a nice problem to have, we are first and foremost a ‘value add’ business. We recognise the need to remain proactive and help educate our customers on new market opportunities, growth areas and to spend the time selecting the right equipment. Our ethos is to educate and advise our customers before they hit the pressure point of having to make a snap decision because of breakdown or a sudden increase in workload.
“As a truly independent supplier of an extremely wide range of printing solutions, we offer sound advice on how to get the best performance from any given machine. It is our mutual goal to understand where our customers wish to be, share the vision they have for their business and help them achieve those goals.”
As a result of the business’s success, SMGG is now looking for new personnel to join its rapidly expanding sales team. Firstly, the company will expand its field-based and telephone support team with a new appointment.
Painter comments, “We are being inundated with on-line and telephone enquiries regarding the solutions we offer and, at present, are being mostly reactive in our response. We need someone with the right skills and knowledge to join our team and focus on these enquiries and see them through to completion. This office-based support role would ideally be located in Bristol.”
Secondly, to complement its existing field-based team, SMGG is also looking for someone with experience in the graphics/signage market to promote and sell the full range of hardware and media supplies. This individual can be based throughout the UK, with no geographical restrictions.
SMGG will be exhibiting at Sign & Digital UK 2014 on stand F70 between 29th April and 2nd May 2014.
