The National Print Owners Association’s 2014 Owners Conference Draws Attendee Praise

Melbourne, FL – The second annual National Print Owners Association (NPOA) owner’s conference held February 27 to March 2, 2014 in Fort Lauderdale, FL drew a record 150 total attendees and garnered across-the-board positive feedback on its educational and social programs.

Dubbed “Spring Break 2014”, the conference kicked off with a keynote presentation by Pazzaz owner Warren Werbitt whose YouTube video on his fanatical love of printing has garnered thousands of views. Other educational topics during the conference included: marketing challenges, keys to business success, Web-to-print, business valuation, the affordable care act, large format, mailing, planning for a successful retirement, and more. The conference wrapped up with a Havana Nights Farewell Reception.

Conference sponsors included Ricoh, Xerox, AccuZip, Marketing Ideas for Printers, Larry Hunt’s Newsletters, and Printer Presence. Along with the sponsors, the Friday Supplier Showcase also included Alliance Franchise Brands, Discount Labels, Printer’s Plan, Graphic Dimensions, EFI, Printware, LexJet, PSL, and Jet Letter. Printing Industries of America Board Chairman Jeff Ekstein also briefly addressed the group and congratulated the association on its accomplishments and rapid growth since its founding in December 2012.

In what may be a printing industry association first, all of the educational sessions were video-taped and will be released sequentially over several weeks as a free benefit to NPOA members who could not attend or for attendees who want to review particular sessions. As another member benefit, conference handouts have already been posted on the NPOA website www.printowners.org  in the “Members Only” section. Highlights of the conference are posted in the website’s public section.

“We are still tallying the evaluation forms from attendees to get detailed feedback on specific sessions to help plan next year’s conference slate,” says NPOA Executive Director John Stewart. “However, every post conference comment I have heard has been overwhelmingly positive.”
