Automatically removes confidential information from documents and print files

Toronto, ON – In response to the growing need to conceal personal information in documents, Crawford Technologies is proud to announce today the launch of its newest solutions: Redaction Express and the Riptide Redaction Module. These new software solutions are designed to help organizations accomplish their daily flow of documents without risking the exposure of confidential information.

The new Redaction Express software allows organizations to automatically eliminate personal and confidential information from documents and print files. Redaction Express can be used in document production or management workflows anywhere within an organization, with most document formats and on virtually any platform.

The new Riptide Redaction Module is an extension to Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems that can automatically remove confidential information from documents when they are being retrieved from the system for viewing, printing, faxing or other offsite transfer. It supports ECM systems such as IBM FileNet, IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD) and EMC Documentum.

There is no need to change original documents or print streams and documents can be redacted as they are being delivered.

Redaction Express is available as an affordable add-on to CrawfordTech solutions including PRO Transforms, PRO Archiver for Documentum, PRO Archiver for InfoArchive, PRO Archiver for SharePoint, PRO Office and Operations Express.

Some of the regulatory acts that restrict the use of confidential information include the United States Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) for Government, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) for Healthcare, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) for Financial Services and Credit Card companies, Canada Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) for General Business, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act for Financial Institutions and Insurance companies and European Union (EU) Privacy Protection Directive for General Use and Business.
