Corsham Print benefits from Heidelberg’s Polar express delivery

Corsham Print was impressed that its new guillotine was delivered and installed within a week of order.

When a circuit board went on an otherwise reliable 30 year old Polar 76, the company decided to replace rather than repair. It looked at the Schneider and Polar and came down in favour of the Polar N 78 Plus.  

“We are not a Heidelberg press user but we like dealing with Heidelberg because you know what you are buying and the back-up service is so good. We know we will get a 30% improvement in speed with this latest Polar machine and we now have an almost limitless number of programmes (rather than the ten we had) and the ability to easily recall a job and make-ready very fast. Knife changing has also got a lot slicker and faster over the past 30 years,” says Chris Perry, managing director.

The company was more than happy to take Heidelberg UK’s showroom model to enable it to secure the rapid delivery it needed. This cutting machine was ideal for the breadth of short run, B3 commercial colour work it handles.
