Company's flagship page-planning software now integrates with InDesign Creative Cloud and QuarkXPress 10

Managing Editor Inc.(MEI), a leading provider of solutions for the publishing industry, today announced the release of Page Director® Ad Layout System 5.7, ALS for Magazines 5.7 and AdForce 5.7. In use at more publications than any other issue-planning solution, the ALS suite of layout products now comprises the highest level of compatibility in its history.
For ad layout groups working in Adobe® InDesign®, ALS 5.7 is compatible with Creative Cloud. For QuarkXPress® users, ALS 5.7 is also compatible with QuarkXPress 10.
In addition to supporting the latest page layout software, ALS 5.7 includes numerous bug fixes requested by customers from around the globe. ALS 5.7 is certified to run natively on Intel-based Macintosh computers running Apple OS 10.6.8 and 10.7.5 ? 10.8.5.
ALS for Magazines 5.7, a version of MEI's ad-placement solution, and AdForce 5.7, the cost-effective, convenient system for ad-layout and issue-management designed for small to mid-size newspapers, are also universal applications.
Since 1990, MEI has updated its Page Director series with features that allow publishing groups to work smarter and more efficiently. Among the publishers using ALS are the Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Gannett Co., and Transcontinental Media.
