Press release from the issuing company
OKLAHOMA CITY - On Feb. 28, Oklahoma native Joel Walker celebrates his 25th anniversary of employment at FASTSIGNS of Oklahoma City, which is the second longest tenure of a FASTSIGNS employee since the franchise began in 1985.
“Joel has been with us since the beginning and our operation would not be where it is today without him,” said Al Blankenship, who owns FASTSIGNS of Oklahoma City with his brother, Alda. “That’s 25 years spent with the same franchise, same owners. 25 years of watching the sign industry evolve from cut vinyl to wide-format printing and digital signage. 25 years of being a part of and making history with the FASTSIGNS company.”
Since opening their first FASTSIGNS center in 1987, which at that time was the fifth franchise location in the network, the Blankenship brothers have grown their business to four locations in Oklahoma City, Edmond and Tulsa.
The centers provide a wide range of comprehensive visual communications solutions, including wall, window and floor graphics, architectural signs, tradeshow displays, wayfinding solutions, vehicle wraps, digital signs and more.
During Walker’s 25 years at the Oklahoma City FASTSIGNS, he has served in all aspects of the business, from production to store manager, general manager of all four stores and, most recently, the lead outside sales person.
“At the end of each year, I call our top five customers to ask about the service they received,” said Blankenship. “Every call, Joel receives raving reviews. With his great attitude, dedication and proactive service, it’s not hard to see why and I am so proud to have Joel on my team.”
