Integration saves time, money; reduces opportunity for error
Wheaton, IL. Aleyant Systems, an innovative leader in providing robust web-to-print software solutions to the graphic communications industry at value-driven prices, today announced that it has completed integration with Australia-based M-Power Software, a fully featured Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) program that handles all business activities for manufacturers of all types, from the first client contact through to invoicing.
“We have several customers in Australia who also use Aleyant’s Pressero online storefront solution,” said Nigel Davies, founder of M-Power Software. “At their request, we have worked with Aleyant to create a seamless integration that allows up-to-date pricing information to flow directly from the M-Power ERP to Pressero, ensuring that customers see accurate pricing prior to executing an order and that pricing information only needs to be entered once. While Pressero was originally designed to primarily serve the printing industry, we have found application for the storefront integration in other manufacturing verticals as well.”
While many specialized software solutions allow one-way integration, the two-way integration that Pressero has achieved is unique, allowing end users to enjoy the best features of two systems without compromise. This is especially important in the area of pricing and quoting.
Davies points out that in many manufacturing operations, both within and outside of the printing industry, pricing and quoting processes can be quite complex and prone to error, especially when multiple systems are involved. “A company may have 3,000 different products,” he says, “and various pricing levels dependent upon customer relationships, quantities ordered and more. In the past, changing pricing or adding new items required entries to multiple systems, which can be quite time consuming. With this Pressero integration, it is exponentially faster for companies to keep products and pricing in sync and to add new products to the system. It helps that Pressero has one of the best pricing engines I have ever seen.”
M-Power has clients in the medical device, fertilizer, oil refining, and agriculture industries, in addition to printing companies. “This integration opens up tremendous opportunities for us and for Pressero in Australia,” Davies states. “In the world of MIS, we find that 95% of business process is the same across industries and only 5% usually needs to be customized, whether the customer is developing fertilizer recipes or creating signs or other printed products. We are finding this to be true of Pressero storefronts as well.”
Davies has already had good experiences both inside and outside the printing industry, “We have a multinational agricultural client,” he explains, “that had secured product sales online via Pressero within a week of installation. Pressero is universal, as are the principals of quoting and pricing. We also like the fact that Pressero makes it easy for customers to design online in alignment with corporate style guides. This is a distinctive capability that we are sure many of our customers will want to take advantage of.”
Pressero Web-to-Print
Pressero from Aleyant Systems is an affordable and easy-to-use cloud-based B2B and B2C online storefront solution that can quickly and easily be customized to individual client needs. Because it is delivered as Software as a Service (SaaS), it has a pay-as-you-go model that involves limited up-front costs. Pressero includes eDocBuilder, a web-based variable data publishing system built specifically to easily integrate into Aleyant or third-party web-to-print or MIS solutions. It features advanced typography control, imposition, scripting support, PDF workflows, rapid template creation, Excel merge capabilities and more. Aleyant’s Automated Workflow Integrator (AWI) makes online operations as streamlined and affordable as possible, and AWI is a critical enabler for achieving this goal. Examples of applications for AWI’s rules-based approach include automating processes for file renaming for workflows that have strict file naming conventions, automatically unzipping zipped files, or sending files and metadata directly to a RIP for processing, eliminating multiple steps in the workflow.
