A Matter of Credentials – The International Paper EMEA Sustainability Story

Press release from the issuing company

Brussels, Belgium – International Paper, the world’s largest paper and packaging company, has announced the release of its third EMEA sustainability publication, entitled, “A Matter of Credentials – the International Paper EMEA Sustainability Story”.

The new publication is the third EMEA sustainability publication after the “Little Green Book” and the “Little Book of Commonsense”. “A Matter of Credentials –the International Paper EMEA Sustainability Story” is the missing link and collectively brings together International Paper’s sustainability goals and approach.

While sustainability generates a lot of attention these days, it’s reassuring to know that it’s been at the heart of how International Paper has been operating for over a century.

Stewardship of the forests and surrounding habitat runs deep within International Paper’s company DNA, but its sustainability commitment doesn’t end there. From product design and manufacturing within its own operations to end use, recycling and disposal, to its giving programs in the communities where International Paper operates, sustainability is integral to the approach at International Paper.

In terms of awards and recognition for its business practices, International Paper leads the field, having been voted the No. 1 company in the Forest and Paper Products sector in Fortune Magazine’s annual, “America’s Most Admired Companies” Report for 2013. This was the tenth time in the last eleven years that International Paper has topped the list.

Also, for the seventh year running International Paper was named one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies by The Ethisphere Institute.

International Paper was also one of just 20 companies, and the only forest products company, to receive a US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Climate Leadership Award.
