Press release from the issuing company
During the first half of 2014, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) is running a range of fascinating customer events at its Print Media Center (PMC). Customers and other interested parties can register for up to five HEI Open Days and four Heidelberg Info Days through their local Heidelberg contact.
The HEI Open Days are being held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on February 20, March 26 and 27, April 10, May 22, and June 26, 2014 at the Heidelberg site. These events give customers an overview of a fully integrated, cutting-edge full-service print shop and cover digital printing, all offset printing formats, and the corresponding postpress systems. During the Open Days at the PMC, experts from Heidelberg will be on hand at all the machines, staging practical demonstrations on everything that visitors need to know about print production. Coordinated Saphira consumables from Heidelberg and the appropriate service offerings will also be covered.
Heidelberg Info Days provide solutions for the latest trends
Each Heidelberg Info Day will focus on a specific issue to present solutions for the trends that are currently shaping the print media industry. The events will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The very latest machine models will be on show at the PMCs in Heidelberg and Wiesloch-Walldorf, and all of them - from prepress to press and postpress - fully integrated into the Prinect workflow.
On March 12, 2014, the headline topic will be special applications in commercial printing. Customers will discover how they can use coatings and special effects to stand out from the crowd. They will also see the first ever Speedmaster XL 75 Anicolor at the PMC, a press that gives both commercial and packaging printers the tools they need to produce short runs cost-effectively and to a high quality standard.
April 29, 2013: HEI Open Days: Once a month, commercial print shops can obtain comprehensive information about Heidelberg solutions at the Print Media Center On April 2, 2014, the focus will be on demonstrating hybrid production with digital and offset presses. Both printing processes have strengths and, when combined, these can be brought to bear for customers with even greater cost-efficiency.
Printing in perfecting mode with LE UV will be the main topic from May 14 to 15, 2014. LE stands for Low Energy and is an energy-efficient process for UV printing with highly reactive inks. It can be used to produce high-quality, surface-finished print products inline and faster than ever before.
From June 4 to 5, 2014, peak performance for packaging companies will be the focal point at the PMC in Wiesloch-Walldorf. Using two format sizes and three packaging workflows, the experts will demonstrate how short and medium-length folding-carton runs can be produced with maximum productivity.
