Inaugural event celebrates the company’s first anniversary
MELVILLE, N.Y. – Canon Solutions America, Inc., a subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc., today announced the conclusion of the company’s inaugural Anniversary Event, held February 3-5, commemorating the first year as Canon Solutions America after the successful integration of Canon Business Solutions and Océ North America.
Hosting the event in Delray Beach, FL, Canon Solutions America invited esteemed industry pundits from around the country for a comprehensive look into the valued relationship between the company and its customers. A relationship that helped stabilize Canon Solutions America during its extensive and challenging transition into one unified company.
“We are extremely thankful for the earnest efforts made by so many throughout our company and the support we received from our customers during the integration period,” said Toyo Kuwamura, president and CEO of Canon Solutions America. “This event helped celebrate the unique relationship our company shares with each of its customers as we continue our goal to meet their every need in the evolving market.”
During the three-day event, guests were invited to attend a series of presentations given by executive leaders from both Canon Solutions America and Canon U.S.A. Not only did the presentations provide attendees with the opportunity to hear updates and developments on various divisions within each company, but also a chance to see first-hand how key leadership in Canon Solutions America is building relationships with customers with an innovative and dedicated approach. One open panel discussion gave guests a chance to ask top executives important questions regarding major initiatives for Canon Solutions America and Canon U.S.A. throughout 2014. Another panel offered invitees an opportunity to discuss the future of the industry with select influential customers – Michael McCombs, senior vice president of Operations for RevSpring; Thomas Harter, president of Microdynamics Group; Steven Strooh, vice president of Beeline and Blue; and John Zulli, executive vice president of Operations North America at ARC. Said Mr. Zulli, "It was my pleasure to participate in the Canon Solutions America customer panel, to share my experience of working with the Canon Solutions America team. At ARC Document solutions, we do not consider Canon Solutions America a vendor, we consider them a partner, helping us to grow our business.”
“Without our customers what would we be? It is our job to ensure their success and maintain a partnership that benefits both parties,” said Kuwamura. “We wanted this event to focus on the voice of the customer and how Canon Solutions America is stronger than ever because of our commitment, as a unified company, to improving the efficiency of our vast customer base.”
Several items of interest included the announcement by the Production Print division of new user groups, including the Digital Print Advisory Council (DPAC) and the User Group Steering Committee. Also of note was the company’s commitment to advancements in media and substrates. The Large Format division announced the installation of several ColorWave 900s, for which they are getting phenomenal feedback from customers.
One highlight of the first annual Anniversary Event was a visit to the Canon Solutions America Customer Experience Center in Boca Raton. Here, guests enjoyed the privilege of experiencing cutting-edge facilities containing many of Canon Solutions America’s top products, while gaining further insight into the company’s vast production and solutions portfolios.
“The event was seen as a great success,” said Kuwamura. “We were honored to host a group of highly respected guests that were given the opportunity to see Canon Solutions America in a way they might never have experienced before. Above all, they saw our commitment to sustaining our relationship with the best customers in the industry.”
