GMS To Implement VeraCore Order Fulfillment Software

Press release from the issuing company

Rocky Hill, CT - General Marketing Solutions (GMS), located in Eden Prairie, MN is implementing The VeraCore Fulfillment Solution from VeraCore Software Solutions, Inc. to manage its growing fulfillment business.

Established in 1991, GMS is a full-service marketing communications service provider that specializes in assisting clients in the planning and execution of multi-channel marketing programs. GMS services include pre-press & color retouching, variable digital printing, sheet-fed printing, large format printing, bindery solutions, database management, mailing services, web based technology solutions, and fulfillment.

Over the years, GMS has utilized a variety of technologies to service their fulfillment clients, including systems developed internally. In recent years, GMS has seen a surge in demand for fulfillment solutions with increasingly complex requirements. As a result, on-boarding a new client typically involved additional programming putting them at a technology crossroads familiar to many in the fulfillment business. Should they seek a commercial fulfillment software system capable of meeting the diverse needs of their numerous clients, or should they continue developing their own solutions on each individual basis?

GMS created a BUILD vs BUY analysis; they evaluated commercial systems, including The VeraCore Fulfillment Solution. Efrain Tapia, GMS V.P. Business Development & Technology explains, “We really did a deep-dive in our evaluation of VeraCore. The closer we looked, the more impressed we were – the system is rock solid”. In the end, GMS determined that the best approach would be to implement VeraCore to serve as the base platform of their fulfillment software infrastructure in combination with their custom developed solutions for an enhanced offering to their clients.

The ability to easily integrate VeraCore with external technologies was paramount to this strategy. VeraCore’s web service API would enable them to integrate with other systems, both commercial and internally developed. In addition, VeraCore was already integrated with several leading web-to-print systems and all the major shipping systems, both critical to the fulfillment programs GMS was managing.

VeraCore President Denise Lunden, commented on the pending GMS implementation, “GMS is managing some very interesting, complex fulfillment programs; exactly the kind of programs that VeraCore was built for. This is a great fit and we look forward to working with GMS for years to come.
