Installation of Océ ColorStream 3900 at Hamburg, Pa. Facility Expands IWCO Direct’s Digital Platform

Press release from the issuing company

Chanhassen, Minn. - IWCO Direct, a leading provider of direct marketing solutions, announced it has expanded the digital platform at its Hamburg, Pa. facility with the installation of an Océ ColorStream® 3900 digital inkjet press. The installation marks the next phase of IWCO Direct’s strategic investment in digital print technology, which provides customers with additional resources to create high-volume direct mail campaigns that engage consumers with more personal and relevant messaging while using single-stream optimization to lower postage cost.

“Digital printing is the future of direct mail marketing,” said Jim Andersen, IWCO Direct chief executive officer. “Our customers are experiencing remarkable ROI with targeted, highly-segmented campaigns that incorporate variable text and images. We plan to continue an aggressive expansion of our digital print technology platform in 2014.”

Similar to the company’s other ColorStream installations, including those at its Chanhassen, Minn. headquarters, the new press in Hamburg will use Océ’s newly developed Premium Pigment ink solution, which expands the color gamut and provides more vibrant color saturation.

The installation in Hamburg is part of IWCO Direct’s strategic investment in digital printing technology that is proving to dramatically lift response rates and lower postage cost through single-stream optimization. In 2013, IWCO Direct installed an Océ ColorStream 3900 in Chanhassen and an Océ JetStream® 2200 at its Warminster, Pa facility. The company expects to add additional Océ ColorStream 3900s across its platform in 2014. In 2011, the company installed an Océ ColorStream 3500, along with its first Xerox iGen4™ press to bolster full-color, variable-data digital print capacity.
