CHROMiX announces that Maxwell, the cloud-based color management system, has recently exceeded 100 Million measurements. CHROMiX plans to celebrate this achievement with attendees at the 2013 PIA Color Management Conference in Phoenix December 7th - 10th.
"We're extremely proud of this significant milestone and even more excited for what lies ahead" says Steve Upton, President of CHROMiX.
CHROMiX announced Maxwell 7 years ago at the 2006 GATF color management conference. “It was a novel concept then, and there were many questions” says Upton. 7 years and 100 million measurements later, Maxwell has proven its high value to many print customers. Also according to Upton, "We've just completed a comprehensive upgrade to our database system, preparing it for beyond the next 100 Million measurements".
Maxwell has thousands of registered devices and has grown in breadth and depth by adding customer-focused functions like Digital PressWatch (for digital presses), MeasureWatch (for measuring instruments), ProofWatch (for inkjet proofers) and DisplayWatch (for LCD displays).
“We’re also looking forward to showing off Maxwell's Dashboard at the PIA Conference at our vendor booth” says Upton. The dashboard functions as a command console and allows users to monitor devices, facilities, assets or anything connected within Maxwell, ‘live’, as it happens.
Maxwell remotely supervises the performance of almost any production device from a web browser. Users track, trend, analyze and report on spectrophotometers, printers, proofers, presses and monitor displays - plus their performance or conformance to industry standards or in-house tolerances.
Attendees of the 2013 PIA Color Management Conference are invited to come by the CHROMiX vendor booth for celebration cake on Sunday the 8th at the 3:00 session break.
