Even though KBA, like many other exhibitors, only manned a small information stand, it attracted a raft of interested print experts. Three contracts for half-format Rapida 75 presses were signed at the show. Two four-colour and a five-colour press with coater and UV capabilities will be delivered to printing firms in Nigeria. In addition, a further Nigerian company opted for a four-colour Rapida 105 with coater and positive talks on the stand may lead to more orders shortly.

High-quality print products produced on a Genius 52UV were also the focus of great interest. Once again world maps produced by KBA were well received by visitors to the show in Africa’s most populated country. Along with educational institutions, print experts, production managers and decision-makers attended the show to gather information on current trends in the graphic arts industry. Due to its high population Nigeria is one of the fastest growing print markets in Africa with considerable growth noticeable especially in flexible and board packaging production. Additional finishing capabilities help to boost the quality of folding boxes.

The KBA stand was voted best stand at Nipex by the show’s visitors. Along with a raft of new impressions from the show, the KBA team was also able to take this award home with them.
