Best Ever Labelexpo Europe for Sun Chemical

Press release from the issuing company

SUN CHEMICAL - Sun Chemical has hailed this year's Labelexpo Europe its most successful ever with 40% more leads compared to the 2011 show.

At this year's Labelexpo Europe Sun Chemical demonstrated its breadth of knowledge and expertise across a number of its business areas including narrow web, colour management, brand protection, special effects and inkjet.

On the stand Sun Chemical used a specially printed label to illustrate its capabilities across the different business areas. The Sun Chemical team welcomed visitors from over 70 different countries, more than 40% of which were new potential customers. The geographical scope of the visitors means that Sun Chemical is well placed to extend its reach into the narrow web market in developing countries such as the Middle East and Central Africa.

At Labelexpo 2013 Sun Chemical launched its latest UV flexo white ink technology, Solarflex Neutron White, which received great interest from visitors. Additionally Sun Chemical received a high level of enquiries for its low migration inks and brand protection solutions.

Jonathan Sexton, European Sales and Marketing Director for Screen and Narrow Web, Sun Chemical comments: "At this year's show we displayed all of our different capabilities for the narrow web label and packaging market, resulting in more visitors on the stand than we've ever had at a Labelexpo show.

"Customers were greatly impressed with the high quality and opacity of our new Solarflex Neutron White ink and the additional features like tactile varnishes and brand protection taggants featured on our capability label. The fact that we had a high number of visitors from developing countries also means we will be developing further our distribution channels for narrow web to these territories."

Christine Lancaster, Business Manager Brand Protection, Sun Chemical, comments: "Sun Chemical's brand protection solutions generated a high level of interest at the show. We were very busy over the four day show meeting with leading brand owners, converter groups and printers for brand protection and security solutions."

Sun Chemical's inkjet business, SunJet, launched its new range of low migration inks at the show in partnership with Durst, demonstrating the inks on both the Sun Chemical and Durst stands. Peter Saunders, Business Manager, SunJet, comments: "Almost all digital focused visitors to the Sun Chemical stand showed interest in our newly launched low migration technology. The show was a great platform to increase visibility of our digital products within the narrow web sector."

Patrice Aurenty, Business Leader, Colour Management, Sun Chemical, comments: "At Labelexpo we met with major converter groups and brand owners introducing them to PantoneLIVE and to the colour consistency and workflow efficiency it brings to each stage of packaging development. The show helped to significantly increase market awareness about Sun Chemical's position as the preferred ink partner of PantoneLIVE and our capabilities within the colour management field."
