KETTERING, UK - Wide-format printer expert i-Sub Digital will hold two Open Days this month, designed to reveal the new markets open to the UK graphic arts community through the latest Mimaki and i-Sub Digital innovations.

Taking place at the impressive Crewe headquarters of Mimaki's exclusive UK and Ireland distributor Hybrid Services on October 16th and 17th, i-Sub Digital will host live demonstrations of the Mimaki TS500-1800 transfer printer, Mimaki JFX500 UV flatbed printer and Mimaki UJF desktop UV décor printer, among others.

A unique element of the Open Days is the showcase of i-Sub Digital's exclusive range of Digi-Foil products. Digi-Foil allows users of the Mimaki UJF range of UV printers to produce foiled effects identical to traditional hot and cold foiling processes, but as one-offs or production runs onto virtually any substrate up to 150mm thick – without the need for the normal dies required for applying foils. With a range that consists of golds, silvers, holographics, security and many other colours and effects, the applications are endless.

"Previously, being unable to apply traditional foils to mock-ups, proofs and short-run production jobs without incurring the cost and time penalties of having dies made and time on the presses has been a frustration across all print sectors. Not any more. 

Open Day guests will also see demonstrations of the high-gloss, touch-dry and abrasion-resistant print of the Mimaki JV400-SUV and the Mimaki JV400-LX latex printers. Vinyl cutting plotters and Zund's powerful cutting and finishing systems will also be on show, complementing the brilliant high-speed print quality produced by the Mimaki JFX500 flatbed UV printer.

Experts from i-Sub Digital, Mimaki and Zund will be happy to answer any questions or technical queries about the machines on show throughout the two Open Days, which are split into morning and afternoon sessions. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
