Booth Shows Visitors How to Expand on Traditional Offerings and Increase Efficiency
Rolling Meadows, IL - Komori America Corporation announced today that PRINT 13 proved to be an ideal vehicle for the launch for its OnDemand message. With several new strategic partnerships announced at the show and a host of new solutions on display, the traffic at the Komori booth was steady and visitors were engaged. “We were quite pleased with the turnout, especially over the first three days of the exhibition,” says Jacki Hudmon, senior vice president of sales for Komori America. “We not only had the only offset press on the show floor, which is always a great crowd gatherer, but we launched our partnerships with Colter & Peterson and INX, and through the demonstration of PDQ and Axis software, showed a variety of solutions, all based on our core message of efficiency. ”
Visitors also flocked to see the technology preview of the Komori and Konica Minolta KM-1/Impremia IS29 digital inkjet sheetfed UV printing system on display in the Konica Minolta booth. It was announced that this unique 23x29 product will become commercially available in late 2014.
One of the big draws to the Komori booth was the hybrid workflow demonstration. The process began with an eight-page signature produced on the Lithrone SX29 equipped with Komori’s award-winning H-UV curing system. Visitors were given the opportunity to have their picture taken with Mr. Komori and then have it printed on the Konica Minolta bizhub C8000, leaving them with a personalized memento from the show. “Our OnDemand marketing team really scored a home run,” said Susan Baines, director of marketing for Komori America. “The complete process from taking the picture to receiving the final product took approximately two minutes. Plus, we were able to upload the photos directly to the visitor’s social media sites or email as well. It was a great vehicle to combine OnDemand offset, OnDemand digital and OnDemand marketing.”
“We promised a new energy in the Komori booth at PRINT 13 and I believe we delivered on that promise. We wanted to show that Komori is moving forward in its goal to bring new ideas and solutions to the print community that will help them prosper and thrive,” says Kosh Miyao, president and COO of Komori America. “We were quite pleased with the activity in our booth and with the interest our customers showed in our wide variety of solutions.”
