Press release from the issuing company
United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland – Canon Europe, a leader in digital imaging solutions, today announced that, at the PODi European AppForum (London, 24-25 September), Manfred Senn, managing director of Swiss full service agency and Canon customer, mapro AG, will be presenting his experience of running successful cross media campaigns to an audience of print service providers. Aiming to inspire and educate attendees to ‘create customer value’, the second day of this year’s event will be focused on the latest applications and solutions that digital printers and marketing services providers are using for cross media marketing and personalised on-demand digital printing services.
Senn will engage the audience with two cross-media campaigns that he has run for customers – one ‘entry level’ campaign and then a more sophisticated one to demonstrate what is achievable with greater cross media experience. He will report how customers’ response rates that might at best have previously reached 2 to 3 per cent with a conventional direct mailing are now multiplied four-fold thanks to the effectiveness of the cross media campaigns, which blend mapro’s multimedia expertise with Canon’s understanding of digital print on demand and personalisation.
As the aims of the event – to inspire and educate printers - mirror Canon’s own ‘Bigger Picture’ approach to its customers, Canon is also supporting the PODi European AppForum as a Gold Sponsor and will have consultants available, during the breaks in the seminar programme, to take questions on cross media and to provide business development advice to attendees who are looking to add cross media services to their existing business offering.
Antony White, European & UK Product Business Developer (Solutions), Professional Print Solutions, Canon Europe, says: “Canon Europe is proud to be a Gold Sponsor of the PODi European AppForum and extend its long-running global collaboration with the PODi association. The concept of this event – creating customer value and helping to demonstrate the value of print within multi-channel campaigns – is at the heart of Canon’s professional print solutions and software strategy and we look forward to sharing ideas and discussing ambitions and best practice with event delegates.”
Tony Hodgson, Director of PODi in Europe, comments on the relationship: “I’m delighted that Canon is so heavily involved in this year’s PODi European AppForum and very much appreciate their support for the event. Both our organisations have a like-minded approach to the professional print market – focusing on the needs of print service providers by helping them to identify how best to take their business forward to improve productivity and profitability. In line with the theme of the event, I’m sure that Canon’s contribution, including securing the agreement of mapro to give the audience the benefit of their cross media experience, will therefore also be seen by the attending delegates as creating customer value.”
