Agfa Graphics targets digital label printing with high-performance UV-curable inks

Press release from the issuing company

Agfa Graphics targets digital label printing with high-performance UV-curable inks During LabelExpo Europe 2013 in Brussels, several OEM customers will be showing digital inkjet label presses based on the high performance of Agfa’s UV-curable inks.

Agfa has developed its own portfolio of UV-curable inks, specifically for label printing, with each product designed for optimal performance in a wide variety of printing systems. Designed for optimum productivity without compromise, these formulations emphasise the best substrate compatibility, peerless batch-to-batch consistency, shelf life and jetting performance plus reliability, along with cost-effective consumption and high image quality.

Agfa Graphics is focused on being the ink partner of choice for system integrators developing a digital label printing solution. The company’s inks are fine-tuned for superior compatibility with the latest developments in digital label printing systems, including chemistries best suited for LED curing, intercolor pinning, white ink and other specialities.

Using its extensive background knowledge in image quality, Agfa Graphics fine-tunes the ink formulations, starting with the pigment dispersions, to reach unmatched image quality, and all the essential parts of a label, including small text, barcode, QR code, graphics and images.

A growing number of system integrators of inkjet presses use UV-curable inks from Agfa Graphics today, some of them showing solutions based on the high performance inks for digital label printing at LabelExpo Europe in Brussels.
