HUNT VALLEY, Md. — MLP U.S.A. is pleased to congratulate HOT Graphics Printing, Inc. in Memphis, Tenn., on winning industry recognition for demonstrating top print quality. HOT Graphics claimed Best of Category honors in the 2013 Premier Print Awards competition.

The 49-year-old company earned the prestigious Benny Award from the Printing Industries of America based on its submission of a special corporate brochure. The self-promotional piece, titled “Memphis Originals,” was designed by doug carpenter & associates to showcase HOT Graphics’ versatile Mitsubishi Diamond 3000R convertible perfector. One of more than 2,800 entries submitted for judging, the brochure won in the Specialty Inks and Coatings, Fragrances, or “Invisible” Printing category.

Stunning images were selected to emphasize the unique nature of the Memphis cityscape. Capable of producing special effects using conventional and ultraviolet (UV) inks and coatings, including UV soft-touch coatings, the 10-color Diamond 3000R perfectly captured the color and vibrancy of the city’s numerous attractions.

The Diamond 3000R prints and coats both sides of the sheet in a single pass. The perfector features coating towers located after the fifth and 10th printing units. Its drying package combines interstation infrared/cold-air andUV-curing units.
