Press release from the issuing company
BURLINGTON, Mass – RISO, Inc. today announced they will break new ground at PRINT 13 with the industry’s first complete cut-sheet In-line Print-to-Mail Solution. This solution is comprised of a new RISO ComColor 9150 or 7150 printer and the new Wrapping Envelope Finisher which automatically addresses, folds, envelopes, and seals printed documents into ready-to-mail completed jobs in a single compact unit. The RISO Wrapping Envelope Finisher can produce up to 2,200 completed pieces of mail every hour.
RISO will showcase the In-line Print-to-Mail Solution in their PRINT 13 booth (#544) beginning September 8th in Chicago. Projected availability for the RISO In-line Print to Mail Solution is January 2014. For more information, go to http://us.riso.com.
“According to the Direct Mail Association (DMA) Factbook for 2013, 65% of consumers of all ages have made a purchase as a result of direct mail. And in 2012 the average response rate for direct mail was 4.4% for both B2B and B2C mailings. This is considerably higher than expectations, and it surges well past the response rate of email [just 0.12%],” notes Richard Mattina, National Director of Marketing & Business Development, RISO. “With a higher conversion rate than any other medium, the Print on Demand Institute (PODI) found that direct mail out-pulled all other channels, both for lead-generating free and buy-now offers. Direct mail’s edge becomes even more dramatic when it is optimized with personalization and PURLs.
“With the introduction of the RISO In-line Print-to-Mail Solution, digital service providers can easily and efficiently convert less than 400-square feet of floor space into an in-house direct mail center. Capable of variable data publishing, users can now produce colorful and personalized mail projects with a drastic reduction in time and direct labor costs. It’s a revenue stream just waiting to happen.”
